Haven of Hope’s Board of Directors are State of New Jersey residents. Board meetings, and fundraising activities, as well as CEO supervisions are held within the United States. Haven of Hope’s Chief Executive Officer resides in India on the Haven of Hope premises to oversee its daily operations and the quality of the organization’s direct charitable activities. Board members visit the Parasia India residence annual meetings to ensure on-going program integrity.
As a Board composed of United States citizens, we are sensitive to the fact that Union Carbide, an American chemical manufacturer is directly responsible for the physical maladies common to the Haven of Hope clientele. Concerned for the welfare of these children, Haven of Hope’s mission strives to give these physically challenged Bhopal disaster overseas residents a better life.
Presently, and in the on-going future, the Chief Executive Officer and volunteer board members will monthly conduct personal, phone and email solicitations to individuals identified as potential donors.
Haven of Hope will also hold two annual charity events.
New donor prospects will be sought by way of social media postings and opportunities for website donations. The Organization will also seek volunteers to request grants from private foundations.
Haven of Hope intends its overseas operations to be limited to the Indian state of Parasia not far from Bhopal.
As Haven of Hope’s primary mission is to provide hope for those who face severe physical health challenges due to prolonged exposure to the environmental contamination of their ancestral homeland. To create a safe and healthier environment which culturally resembles one’s Indian birthplace, Haven of Hope is situated within a quaint little village called Parasia, approximately 200 miles away from Bhopal, which boasts fresh air, clean water, and welcoming neighbors.
